Late Night Christmas, on Thursday 20 December, will see over 90 stores in the city centre stay open late for those who are leaving their Christmas shopping until the last minute.
And they will be entertained as they shop, with a free street festival on from 5 - 9pm. Over 25 street performances are scheduled for the night, located across Queen Street, Elliott Street and High Street.
Britomart will be open late too with the delicious Street Kai on Takutai Square, along with gift wrapping in the Atrium.
Late Night Christmas is an initiative of Heart of the City, Auckland's city centre business association, working with city centre retailers.
It’s a great example of how Auckland can boost its night-time economy, which is a long-term goal of ATEED’s Destination AKL 2025 strategy.
