New Zealand Fashion Week, Aotearoa's most glamourous week, starts in Auckland today until Suday, 1 September.

Glitz and glam is in the air! It's inspired us to keep the magic going off the runway, so here's our Top 10 list of Insta-worthy, fashionable finds within easy reach of the catwalk.

1. Seafood by the ocean

4. Avant-garde food

Auckland is home to a wide range of unique eateries and dishes that are definitely worthy of Instagram love. The region is home to more than 200 different ethnicities, creating an exciting melting post of cuisines and experiences that need to be shared.

5. Sky high views

Snap a selfie 192-metres above the ground from the observation deck of Auckland’s tallest building - the Sky Tower. With a 360-degree view of the city, choose your backdrop of cityscape or island-filled harbour. If you choose to walk the SkyWalk, make sure you work that orange jumpsuit!

6. Get back to nature

Albert Park is home to towering, dinosaur-like trees that truly impress. A local favourite is the Ombu tree with its huge hollow base – every side is its ‘good side’ so the photo ops are endless!

7. Photogenic bars

Step back in time – speakeasy style – at Britomart’s underground venue Caretaker, enjoy the chandeliers and red velvet seats of Vodka Room in Ponsonby, or bask in the afternoon sun at Dr Rudi’s above the Viaduct Harbour.

Auckland Art Gallery

9. Art meets Fashion

Capture the culture! Head to the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki for the Frances Hodgkins: European Journeys exhibition, on until Sunday 1 September. Local designer, Karen Walker, took inspiration from this work for her Frances Hodgkins: Framed by Karen Walker collection.

10. Urban exploration

Simply wander the streets to stumble across the best backdrop that suits your style: aged and ripped concert posters still clinging to the wall, store windows of kawaii cuteness, or something special that is yet to be discovered!
