Chardonnay

Known for being buttery, the Chardonnay grape grown in the Auckland region comes with a twist! With varying styles of weighty, ripe wines and a hint of tropical flavours with fresh, balanced acidity are quite common here, particularly in Kumeū. So next time, make it a Chardonnay!

Syrah

Hey syrah, syrah! More sophisticated than this intro, Syrah is an intense, aromatic and elegant wine with some award-winning drops coming from Waiheke Island. Partial to a bold red? Another common wine throughout the region is stylish red blends - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Delicious!

Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris is riding a wave of popularity right now, and luckily for you it's grown right here in Auckland! Matakana in particular is known for its fleshy, weighty Pinot's with spicy, ripe stonefruit and pear aromas and flavours. Easy to drink and oh-so-delicious, this tipple is perfect with an afternoon nibble while looking out to the vines.
